Trip to Victoria

Monday morning our holiday began in great form!! We woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning, got dressed and grabbed our bags. The kids were all so excited they leaped out of bed without a second call!! We're going on holidays!!

By 4:10 a beautiful Limo pulled up to our house and we were greeted officially by our driver, all dressed up for the occassion.
We piled all our suitcases into the little limo trailer and then found our seats inside. We all fit inside the car and enjoyed our trip to the airport in luxury.

There was champagne for the kids which they enjoyed (at 4:30 in the morning!!!) and a glass filled with lollies which all disappeared before we made it to the airport.

At the airport everything went very smoothly. We had pre-booked our seats so we had 4 window seats right near the back.

We had to walk out onto the tarmac and climb the stairs to get into our plane. Then we settled back for our flight. Once we were in the air we were served breakfast and during the flight the kids all had to have the "toilet experience". Brett found it rather "FREAKY".

We had a great flight, and even got to see some of the Australian coastline from the air. The kids found it fascinating seeing how small the world looks from up in the sky.

When we were de-planing, because we were last, the 2 boys were allowed into the pilot seats. Wow that was exciting!! There's so many buttons, so of course Brett had a million and one questions to ask...

Then we had to find our luggage back, and of course Travis had to try and have a ride on the trolley carousel!!
In Melbourne we met up with a friend from Pryda who had driven our car to the airport. Then came the interesting part: piling the car (which was already loaded with our camping gear) full of all our suitcases. Once we'd accomplished that, we set off to Traralgon, a 2 1/2 hour drive away. We got some funny looks from people with our car piled so high!! We made it safely and picked up our brand new caravan and set up camp next door at the caravan park. We then spoilt ourselves and went out for a delicious dinner in a lovely family restaraunt.
Tuesday was spent getting organised: buying groceries (we needed 2 trolleys!!), pick up odds and ends, getting all ready to go "out bush". The kids enjoyed the caravan park with a big bouncy pillow, mini golf, pool (although it was freezing, we had to wear our jeans and jumpers!!), the spa and table tennis.
Wednesday morning we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast at the caravan park before we headed off into the mountains.
I'm falling so far behind in my blogging that I'm going to continue updating this blog as I have time and then I can continue on with our regular life...keep your eyes posted!!....
