End of 2009

Wow I can't believe it's nearly the end of January and my lost post was from when Cody turned 16 back in November!! This means I have loads of catching up to do but I guess that always happens when it's silly season.

Shortly after Cody turned 16 I turned 40. Can't believe I'm over the hill already!! Just kidding, I think turning 40's great for 40 different reasons. I had a great day, even got a nap in to catch up from lack of sleep after the year 6 camp and then had 32 friends and family over in the evening for a fun evening of Party Bridge. I really enjoy having Party bridge parties because you don't have to socialise too hard yet you mingle with all your guests as the evening progresses. Made for a great, relaxing evening. Of course I was spoiled by everyone; Dave even got me a lovely gold bracelet.

Cody also got his 'L' plates and we're slowly trying to teach him how to drive standard. He's doing quite well. When he's 16 1/2 he can do his drivers test and get his P-plates and then hopefully when he turns 17 he'll be able to drive by himself...

I'm at work, and the boys are just finished and waiting for me to take them home. Travis and Wade's birthdays in December need a separate posting anyway, as does our camping trip to Esperance so hopefully I'll get some time in the near future (the kids go back to school next week...maybe there'll be some sort of routine and order in my life then!!) Otherwise, this is just to let you all know we're doing well here, and wish you all a blessed 2010!!
