Election Weekend

Yesterday we were down at Dren and JB's to help JB in his bid to run as a candidate for the Christian Democrat Party in his electorate. Being election day Dave and JB travelled over 400 kms to help out the polling booths, making sure they were well equipped and having no issues. Dren and I (and mum and Chris) kept the homefront in order and manned the Capel polling booth for a few hours. It was a really enjoyable day, although Dren and JB are exhausted from their pre election weeks, working up to the final day. Unfortunately (in our eyes) the Labour government got in. (we would've preferred to see the Liberals in again) but we do know that governments are set in place by God. We pray we may continue to have the religious freedoms that we have always enjoyed (and maybe taken too much for granted!!) JB got nearly 1500 votes, which was better than last year, so that's a positive result.
